NUFF SAID ABOUT SENATOR REID'S NEGRO THOUGHTS

one senator said something that i think most Americans today would agree with--that one of the things that helped this particular black person named Barack H. Obama run for and win the presidency this last year is the fact that he is young, very talented and educated, "very well spoken" and "non-threatening" to a great majority of the American public.

the other senator is one that over the years has been associated with those that espoused racist or bigoted points of view toward minorities. what Trent Lott said was that the U.S. would have been better off if segregationist Presidential candidate Strom Thurmond had been elected in 1948. he was running on the states rights ticket--in other words, the states had the right to keep "Negros" in "their place"--PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

was it kinda silly to say it that way--yea, for sure. was it racist--NO.
