WELCOME BACK RICHARD

YEA, I KNOW I'VE BEEN ABSENT FOR A WHILE--BEEN HAVING SHOES(ISSUES) WITH MY KINDA UNSTOPPABLE DESIRE TO STUFF ALL TYPES OF CRAP INTO MY MOUTH. I'M NOT FAT-165 LBS AT 6FT --BUT I DO HAVE A GOOD DEAL OF FAT DEPOSIT AROUND MY WAIST AND THATS WHAT HAS ME BOTH PISSED AT MYSELF AND A BIT WORRIED.

I'M REALLY NOT EATING THAT MUCH CRAP- ITS JUST THAT I TEND TO EAT LARGER PORTIONS AND WHEN I GO OUT, I EAT THE LARGE PORTIONS AND THEN GO FOR A DESSERT. I'VE MANAGED TO INCLUDE LOTS OF FRUITS IN MY DAILY DIET--AN APPLE, AT LEAST ONE ORANGE AND ONE BANANA EVERYDAY ALONG WITH ABOUT A CUP OF RASBERRIES AND BLUEBERRIES DAILY WITH EITHER OATMEAL AND/OR NON FAT GREEK YOGURT. DINDIN IS USUALLY A CHICKEN THIGHT BROILED WITH SPINNICH, MUSHROOM, ONION, GARLIC AND A WHOLE TOMATO WITH SOME OLIVE OIL.

MY EXERCISE ROUTINE IS A DAILY WALK/JOG OF ABOUT 3-3.5 MILES MON-FRIDAY. BUT I NOTICE THAT NOWADAYS, ITS EASY FOR ME TO FIND A REASON NOT TO DO IT, SO I HAVE TO CONSTANTLY STAY ON TOP OF IT.

OTHER THAN THAT, I THINK I'VE DONE PRETTY WELL IN KEEPING MY GOALS I SET FOR MYSELF LAST YEAR.

ALSO, MY BLOGGING HAS NOT BEEN AS CONSISTANT AS I'D LIKE IT TO BE. ITS NOT LIKE THERE IS NO MATERIAL OUT THERE TO POST ABOUT--ITS JUST THAT I GET LAZY AND HAVE A TENDANCY TO PROCRASTINATE.

HE STILL IS THE PRESIDENT I VOTED FOR

"But what frustrates the American people is a Washington where every day is Election Day. We cannot wage a perpetual campaign where the only goal is to see who can get the most embarrassing headlines about their opponent - a belief that if you lose, I win."

"I know it's an election year. And after last week, it is clear that campaign fever has come even earlier than usual. But we still need to govern. To Democrats, I would remind you that we still have the largest majority in decades, and the people expect us to solve some problems, not run for the hills. And if the Republican leadership is going to insist that sixty votes in the Senate are required to do any business at all in this town, then the responsibility to govern is now yours as well. Just saying no to everything may be good short-term politics, but it's not leadership. We were sent here to serve our citizens, not our ambitions."

" This year, I will work with Congress and our military to finally repeal the law that denies gay Americans the right to serve the country they love because of who they are."

"Remember this - I never suggested that change would be easy, or that I can do it alone. Democracy in a nation of three hundred million people can be noisy and messy and complicated. And when you try to do big things and make big changes, it stirs passions and controversy. That's just how it is.
Those of us in public office can respond to this reality by playing it safe and avoid telling hard truths. We can do what's necessary to keep our poll numbers high, and get through the next election instead of doing what's best for the next generation.
But I also know this: if people had made that decision fifty years ago or one hundred years ago or two hundred years ago, we wouldn't be here tonight. The only reason we are is because generations of Americans were unafraid to do what was hard; to do what was needed even when success was uncertain; to do what it took to keep the dream of this nation alive for their children and grandchildren."

"We are strong. We are resilient. We are American."

"We don't quit. I don't quit. Let's seize this moment - to start anew, to carry the dream forward, and to strengthen our union once more."

I KNOW THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO WATCHED THE SOTU TONITE AND REALIZED THAT HE WAS THE GROWN UP. HE NEEDED TO TELL BOTH THE DEMOCRATS AND THE REPUBLICANS TO QUIT BEING SUCH SELFISH BRATS AND PUT UP OR SHUT UP. HE ALSO TOLD US COMMON EVERYDAY PEOPLE TO QUIT WHINING AND START TRUSTING THE PERSON WHO WE ELECTED TO LEAD US.

I NEED A LEADER WHO WILL NOT QUIT
WHO WILL NOT BACK DOWN TO NEGATIVITY

I AM STILL PROUD AND PLEASED THAT I TOOK THE RISK ON A LITTLE KNOWN SENATOR FROM ILLINOIS.!!

THE BALLS IN HIS COURT-DOES HE PASS OR DOES HE SHOOT

During the campaign, Obama famously told Patrick Gaspard, his political director, "just give me the ball." Today, Obama is the president of the United States. He's got a lot of people screaming at him and cheering for him, and almost as many shouting advice. But he's the guy with the ball. The question is what he does with it.

I STILL BELIEVE IN PRESIDENT OBAMA--BUT, AND THIS IS A "BUT" THAT GROWS WITH EACH PASSING DAY, I AM GETTING A BIT WORRIED THAT WE ELECTED THE NICEST GUY AROUND WITH TONS OF BRAINS, LOADS OF SEX APPEAL, AND WITH A DESIRE TO DO GOOD.. ALL SOUNDS NICE ENOUGH, ITS JUST THAT THE JOB OF THE PRESIDENT(REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE PREVIOUS OCCUPANTS OF THE WHITE HOUSE HAVE DONE/NOT DONE) REQUIRES HIM TO LEAD- BE IT BY CROSS PARTY LINES OR NO CROSS PARTY LINES, BY KNOCKING HEADS TO ACHIEVE HIS GOALS- WHICH BY THE WAY- ARE THE GOALS OF THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE THAT VOTED HIM INTO OFFICE.

I ACTUALLY CRAWLED OUT OF MY SELF IMPOSED PROHIBITION OF VOTING IN ANY AND ALL ELECTIONS BECAUSE FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE GOD KNOWS WHEN, I ACTUALLY WANTED TO BELIEVE WHAT THIS GUY WAS SAYING.
**WHEN HE SAID "CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN" I BELIEVED.
**WHEN HE SAID THAT WE ARE ALL CREATED EQUAL- INCLUDING GAY PEOPLE, HELL YES I BELIEVED.
**WHEN HE STATED THAT GUANTANAMO WOULD BE CLOSED BECAUSE IT WAS A STAIN ON OUR NATIONAL HONOR- I BELIEVED HIM.
**WHEN HE STATED THAT TORTURE WOULD BE STOPPED AND THAT IF IT WAS SHOWN THAT AMERICANS TORTURED, THEY WOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE- I BELIEVED HIM.

what i need for President Obama to do is finally show that he is THE PRESIDENT and not as some have said, THE PRIME MINISTER leading his party. i want him to come out for something and not worry about how the wishy-washy public(the same public that elected him with a large majority) will react. he told us what he would do.

-DO IT NOW, MR. PRESIDENT
-BE PRO-ACTIVE, NOT REACTIVE
-GO FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN, NOT FOR WHAT YOU CAN GET, FOR YOU WILL ONLY GET WHAT YOU SETTLE FOR

MR. PRESIDENT--"ITS TIME TO BUCK UP"

"at some point- debate has to end"
"at some point- its time to act"
"the time for bickering is over"
"the time for games has passed"
"now is the time to deliver for health care"
"we're gonna get it done by the end of this year"
"i don't quit, we're gonna get it done"

Mr. President, we elected you to lead our nation, we gave you our trust to guide us through this hell hole known as the senate and congress of these United States of America. you already got your poll results, you already got your focus groups
YOU WERE ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES BECAUSE A MAJORITY OF AMERICANS SAID SO--AND KNEW WHAT YOU WERE GOING TO DO, WHAT LAY AHEAD.

***NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO CHICKEN OUT---"ITS TIME TO BUCK UP" MR. PRESIDENT
***NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO CHECK IN WITH THE LATEST POLLS AND FOCUS GROUPS--"ITS TIME TO BUCK UP" MR PRESIDENT
***NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO GO FOR BI-PARTISANSHIP WITH A MINORITY DETERMINED TO UNDERMINE YOUR EVERY MOVE--
---"ITS TIME TO BUCK UP" MR. PRESIDENT
***NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO FOLLOW THE LEAD OF THOSE WHO ARE FRIGHTENED WITH JOB LOSS, WITH MOUNTING HEALTH COSTS, WITH LOOSING THEIR HOMES
***NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT LIKE THE LEADER WE CHOSE TO LEAD US THROUGH THIS WILDERNESS OF LOSS. SOMETIMES WE WILL CRY AND YELL AND THROW TEMPER TANTRUMS--BUT YOU JUST HAVE TO SUCK IT UP AND WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR CONVICTIONS, BE "THE" PRESIDENT AND LEAD THE WAY. GATHER THE GELATINOUS DEMOCRATS BY THE COLLAR AND FORCE THEM TO DO THEIR JOB.

I STILL BELIEVE IN YOU MR. PRESIDENT--I'M JUST WAITING FOR YOU TO "BUCK IT UP"!

I'LL TAKE TWO FACED FOR $20.

with the exception of Christiane Amanpou on CNN and Fareed Zakaria GPS and Meet The Press on NBC, i really think that all the other "news" shows are just entertainment driven by and for ratings. most all are very partisan and i only watch them on occasion.
